2016 OF4WD Adopt-A-Road Clean Up
This year our annual Adopt-A-Road highway cleanup will be on Saturday, June 4. Every year we cleanup both sides of highway 507 for a 3 km stretch heading north from the intersection with highway 36. We rely on volunteers from the OF4WD to assist with this project that benefits the local community and brings awareness to the good work that our organization does.
Here are the important details:
On June 4 at 9 am we will be meeting at Flynn’s Gas Station. The group will head out by 9:30 am. We are bringing a trailer to put garbage in so don’t worry about dirtying up the inside of your rig. Please bring your own work gloves and make sure to wear comfortable hiking boots (it’s a bit of walking). We will have a full size barbecue at Flynn’s Corner where burgers, hot dogs and pop will be provided for lunch, compliments of the OF4WD. This is no cost associated with this event.
If you know someone interested in helping out or joining OF4WD, feel free to bring them along. It’s also a great way for youth to collect volunteer hours and letters of participation can be provided. Please sign up if you can make it and let us know how many will be in your group as we need some solid numbers to make food plans. Hope to see you all there!
