Billy Goat Trail Reopened Following Bridge Repairs
The OF4WD is pleased to share that the second bridge replacement project on the Billy Goat Trail has now been completed, and the trail is officially open once again.

This work was made possible through the hard work and dedication of volunteers from the OF4WD, Haliburton Trail Riders, Haliburton ATV Association (HATVA), and Haliburton County Snowmobile Association (HCSA), who came together to complete the replacement of the lower bridge.

Projects like this are a great example of what can be accomplished when different trail user groups work together to help maintain our shared trail system. A sincere thank you goes out to every volunteer who donated their time, skills, and effort to make this project a success.
While a few finishing touches remain on the upper bridge, they do not impact trail access. The permanent railing will be completed at a later date by volunteers from HCSA and HATVA.

If you’d like to be part of future trail maintenance projects like this, we’d love to have you join our volunteer list.
