Emergency Tree Clean Up – Gooderham Trail @ Flynns Corner Gas Bar
Jul 14 @ 10:00 am – 5:00 pm

A recent storm has left a very large mess on the Gooderham Trail in the 5 Points Trail System. A clean up operation is planned for Saturday July 14th. We will be meeting at Flynns Corner Gas Bar on the corner of Hwy #36 and #507 at 10:00 am.

Our plan is to split into two groups and attack from both directions. A large number of downed trees have left the trail impassable. Any help you can offer in an operation of this type would be greatly appreciated.

Experience in tree removal and safety a definite asset.

NOTICE : To all attending, please be prepared for hot temperatures and large amounts of deer flies. Lots and water and ice, a towel to wet, highly recommended. And anything else you can think of to keep you cool and comfortable.

Minden Hydro Line Trail west of Anson South Outhouse to be closed in Spring and Summer to all motorized traffic (from Mar 31st to Sep 15th)

We will have a fullsize barbeque there, and burgers, dogs and pop will be provided for lunch, compliments of OF4WD. Lunch will be served at Flynns and then those that wish to can do a trail run in the afternoon.

If you know someone interested in helping out or joining OF4WD, feel free to bring them along.

Not a Pavement Princess 2022 – Women’s Only Run @ Minden Off-Road Park (Formerly Ray's Place)
Jul 9 @ 8:00 am
About:
This is the 4th Annual all woman’s run which was originally created to unite the female wheeling community together by having an all-female driver registration for a day run in support of the YWCA – Minden Haliburton Woman’s shelter.  We encourage attendees to stay for the weekend at Minden Off-Road Park for a Saturday night bon-fire and beverages of your choice.
Family members including spouses and children are welcome to attend the event as passengers for no cost if they choose, but the focus is to have an all-female driven run.
***If you are a Male and register you will not be refunded and will not be allowed to drive – your registration costs will be donated to the Woman’s shelter***

Guides:
This is a guided trail run.  Your guides are all females and have over the years guided at multiple different events and have multiple years of experience off-roading.
Details:
The event offers either Public land trails or private land trails.
The public land trails can be accessed by anyone at anytime and are located between the area of Minden, Bobcaygeon and Gooderham. There are 4 public trails ranging from Beginner to advanced. Each participant will be designated to the trail based on the drivers experience and vehicle modifications.  This is to ensure everyone has a great day!
The private land trails located in Bobcaygeon are an exclusive opportunity for ladies with some experience and capable vehicles to enjoy some challenging terrain with beautiful views and various obstacles to attempt. We recommend that you have at least been out on an off-road trail twice before and that your minimum tire size is 33′ and you have a 2 inch lift. This private land does come at an extra cost, which we believe is completely worthwhile since access to this land is hard to come by.
We will also take the necessary COVID-19 precautions for social distancing.

Requirements:
We will require all female drivers to be members of the OF4WD for insurance purposes and access to the trail index.  It is paramount to fill out all the required fields on the registration form honestly and correctly to help us assign groups and provide the best experience possible.  The trails will range from beginner to expert.  if you have attended before, the organizers will try and ensure you are assigned to a different trail then in the past.

Cost:
Public Land registration: $65
Private Land registration $125
The cost of registration includes a black pony tail baseball hat with a gold NAPP logo and a tall can Koozie/tumbler. The remainder of the cost is allocated to a small administration fee and the balance will be donated to the YWCA Minden/Haliburton Woman’s shelter. Last year we raised $1200.
T-shirts in black with the Gold NAPP logo are available as an option for the additional cost of $35. Sizing is on the small side. The brand is Bella and Canvas and the style is called flowy rolled cuff tee.
NAPP stickers are also available in both Black and White at a cost of $20.
There are no refunds for cancelations.

Accommodations:
This event is not providing accommodations.  If you plan on staying the weekend or night please contact Minden Off-Road Park online and book your accommodations appropriately – there are very limited rooms available at this time but lots of camping. There are additional motels in Minden – Minden Motel and the Highlands Motel and lodge – also check air bnb for rentals.

For questions please contact amber.block@hotmail.com or post on the Facebook event site or the NAPP Facebook page.

Sep 16 @ 4:00 pm – Sep 18 @ 2:00 pm

Exclusive offer for OF4WD members – receive 15% off tickets by using promo code OF4WD

Community
The Rally – Muskoka 2022 is a great opportunity to meet lots of like-minded overlanders and gain ideas for your personal build or next adventure. Get out and drive in small self-guided groups and explore a new region of Ontario. We have seen friendships blossom and grow at our events and we can’t wait to add to the OverlandNTH family this September.

Camp
Enjoy 2 nights of camping on and around Deerhurst Resort’s decommissioned runway in the heart of Muskoka’s rugged wilderness. Bring your rig and show off your kit while sharing what you’ve learned throughout your build experiences and travels. Overlanders will enjoy their own campsite area providing ample space for rigs and tents.

This event is family-friendly so please bring the spouse, kids, dog, and uncle. Whoever just be respectful. We will have different vibes set up along the runway, so if late-night stories are what you want, we got you! If quiet early sleep is the wish, we got you too! We have 3,000 feet to spread out.

Please provision for sustaining your group with food, water and shelter. We are overlanders and will be helpful if needed, but you must be self-sustainable whenever possible on the runway.

Toilets and hand washing stations are provided along with communal fire bowls and wood scattered throughout the event space for overlanders’ warmth and comfort. If you’ve joined us on the runway before, you know these fires are the soul of the event. Bring your chairs and meet your new best friends.

Drinking water and showers are not provided so please again come prepared. We encourage you to take advantage of the “Get Fresh” room rate available at Deerhurst Resort on Sunday night.

Individual sites can’t be reserved, but should you be travelling with a group of 3 or more rigs and wish to be close to each other please contact us at info@overlandnth.ca and we will do our best to accommodate your requests.
The event is happening rain or shine, obviously, so come prepared to have fun in all weather.

***Should you wish to be an exhibitor and sell your merchandise at the event please contact us at info@overlandnth.ca and a member of our team will be in touch!***

Drive
In our 3rd installment of the event, we will be changing the format slightly to have more of an Overlanding drive focus where Overlanders will enjoy exploring regional roads, trails, and points of interest. These are not mandatory, and you may stay and camp all weekend, but if desired, we have options for you.

There will be a variety of drive options to allow for all skill and interest levels.
1) ***A guided trail run for those that are NEW to running in groups or off-road, and this option is vehicle restricted based on capability. (Limited numbers are available on Saturday and Sunday)
2) A self-guided route including milder off-road elements and lots of amazing side roads, and vistas. (Challenge/game elements TBA) This route will take you away from the runway for a few hours, so plan accordingly.
3) A local points of interest drive that includes some of the natural wonders in the Muskoka area, as well as some great shops, eateries, breweries etc.

We will be observing Tread Lightly principles and will be sure to be stewards of the land as we explore, leaving only tire tracks, and taking only pictures.

Laugh
OverlandNTH is a family-friendly event where kids and parents can enjoy riding bikes or enjoying lawn games. We highly encourage you to bring non-motorized bikes, scooters, skateboards, etc. If you’ve ever spent a weekend on a runway, you’ll understand why.

New this year we are excited to announce the Soap Box Derby! That’s right, we will be adding in an element of fun for the whole family offering a soap box derby down the far east end of the runway. Winners will not only earn bragging rights but they will also walk away with cash and some sweet prizes! Bet our cars are faster than yours…

Have fun with this. Wild and crazy builds are encouraged. The track is straight and has a gentle slope, but your car must have steering and brakes. Helmets are mandatory. This will occur Saturday afternoon and will have adult and kid divisions. No other rules apply other than gravity must be the only source of propulsion.

The Rigs
New this year will be a “show and shine” element. Let’s face it who doesn’t love to show off their kit and earn some bragging rights at the same time.

The winners of each category will walk away with some sweet prizes courtesy of our partners and sponsors!

Categories:
Best Vintage Rig (1989 or older)
Best Campsite Set-Up
People’s Choice

Night Trek
Discover the treetops under a starry night sky, where a headlamp and the North Star will lead the way!

Overlanders will have the unique opportunity to participate in this fun experience found onsite at the runway. There is an additional cost and participants must be ages 12 and up. The experience is roughly 3 hours long with the group gathering at the Tree Top Trekking centre at 6:30 pm on Saturday evening.

Music
Live entertainment is a core component of any OverlandNTH experience!

Friday will be a quiet night, but feel free to bring out a guitar and play with friends. On Saturday evening we are pleased to welcome back Karla Crawford who will bless us with the sweet sounds of rock and country.

Harvest Dinner
With the purchase of a Driver and Co-Pilot ticket, Overlanders will enjoy a rustic pig roast with salads on Saturday night. For kids16 and under, tickets can be purchased separately at an additional cost. When booking, visit the Additional Items section for more details.

In addition, there will be a food truck on-site Friday and Saturday serving up all the essential food groups. You know, poutine, fries and beef brisket!

We look forward to seeing you in Muskoka!

Every time we meet up we try and raise money for something. Whether it’s trail cleanups or some charities for children.

This year we decided to help feed some kids and teamed up with Halton Food 4 Kids. This charity runs off grants and donations and I have personally seen the work they do to feed kids. This includes food for kids at school each day, and food packages for kids to bring home with them over the weekend ($15 feeds a kid over the weekend).

TEC is going to try and match all donations! Visit the attached link for the food list you can donate.

Not a Pavement Princess: 2023 – Women’s Only Run @ Minden Off-Road Park (Formerly Ray's Place)
Jul 8 @ 9:00 am
Registration opens Thursday June 8th at 9:00am
About:
This is the 5th Annual all woman’s Off -road event in support of the YWCA – Minden/Haliburton Woman’s shelter.
This event was originally created to unite the female wheeling community by having an all-female event that focuses on empowerment and giving back in support of the YWCA – Minden Haliburton Woman’s shelter.
Family members, BFF’s, spouses and children are welcome to attend the event as passengers for no cost if they choose, but the focus is to have an all-female driven run.
We recommend that you have at least been out on an offroad trail once before and that your minimum tire size is 33′ and you have a minimum of a 2 inch lift. This private land does come at an extra cost, which we believe is completely worthwhile since access to this land is hard to come by and the trails are pristine.
How to Register:
We will require all female drivers to be members of the OF4WD for insurance purposes and access to the trail index. If you are not currently a member of the OF4WD please go to OF4WD.com and register for a membership.
If you have issues doing this please contact membership@of4wd.com
You MUST log into your OF4WD account to register for the event. Then click HERE.
It is paramount to fill out all the required fields on the registration form honestly and correctly to help us assign groups and provide the best experience possible for everyone. The trails will range from beginner to advanced. If you have attended before, the organizers will try and ensure you are assigned to a different trail then in the past.
Guides:
This is a guided trail event. Your guides are all females and have over the years guided at many different events and newbie runs and have between 3 and 15+ years of experience off-roading.
What to do on the day of the event:
****You will receive a confirmation email a week or so before the event with details of your assigned trail and where and what time to meet your guides on the morning of the event. For ladies attending just for the day from the city – we will be meeting at or near the trail head you are assigned to on the morning of the event to cut down on drive time. For ladies that are staying at Minden Offroad park or in Minden, you are welcome to convoy with your guide to the trail head/meeting place in the morning.
Cost:
Public Land registration: $35
Private Land registration $100
The cost of the event covers a small administration fee for event registrations with the of4wd and the balance will be donated to the YWCA Minden/Haliburton Woman’s shelter. Last year we raised $1000!
NAPP Swag:
Bella and Canvas flowy Tank tops in black with the Gold NAPP logo are available to purchase separately at a cost of $35. Sizing is on the small side but sizes range from S – 2 XL.
Koozie Slim tall can insulated tumblers are also available in white with the gold NAPP logo for $25 – perfect for your summer bevy’s
NAPP stickers are also available in either Black or White at a cost of $20.
There are no refunds for cancelations. Swag orders will be cut off on June 15th to allow for order processing.
Accommodations/camping:
We encourage attendees to stay for the weekend at Minden Off-Road Park and join us for a Saturday night bon-fire and beverages of your choice.
If you plan on staying the weekend or night please contact Minden Off-Road Park online and book your campsite or hotel room directly. There are additional motels in Minden – Minden Motel and the Highlands Motel and lodge – also check air bnb for rentals.

For questions please contact amber.block@hotmail.com or post on the Facebook event site or message the NAPP facebook page.

All trails are led by experienced trail guides who will ensure your day is fun while remaining safe and educational. Trail sign-up will occur at the event where you can speak to experts to help you understand what trail best fits your abilities.
Off-road 101
Never been off road before? Not to worry! For the past 10 years Camp NL has been offering “Offroad 101”, an instructional course on Friday or Saturday It’s a combination of theory and practical instruction by some of our most expert guides. Following a review of basic 4-wheeling principles, our guides will take you out for an awesome trail ride to put into practice what you have learned. With your new found knowledge, you are free to experience some of the other trails available for the duration of the event. Many first-timers have come to CampNL to get their feet wet and learn about responsible 4WD-based recreation and have come back year after year to even become guides! This instructional course is offered at no additional charge. Rock Crawling 101 Have you been wheeling for a few years and taken the time to build your rig to handle to best Ontario has to offer? Ontario Rock Crawling Champions will once again take experienced offroaders who have a minimum of 35s, lockers front and rear and a winch, on an extreme rock trail and teach them the techniques and strategies for responsible and effective rock crawling and spotting.
