Yup it does go past the Train Tracks.
BEFORE I GO FURTHER … USE EXTREME CAUTION SHOULD YOU DECIDE TO CROSS THESE TRACKS !!! THE FREIGHT TRAINS ROAR THROUGH THAT SECTION … AND I MEAN THEY COME FAST !!! WHERE YOU CROSS IS IN A BEND AND YOU CANNOT SEE THEM COMING, I STRESS THAT YOU SHUT OFF ALL ENGINES AND LISTEN BEFORE EACH VEHICLE ATTEMPTS CROSSING. THE CROSSING IS NOT LEVEL AND THE SEPERATION OF THE TRACKS IS ABOUT THE SAME AS THE WHEELBASE OF SOME RIGS ! USE EXTREME CAUTION … CROSSING HERE IS DANGEROUS !!
Once you get across, about 50 feet in you will see a mudhole, it is deep and nasty, there is a bypass to the left side (when you stand with your back to the tracks) … to the north side of that mudhole is the trail. It takes you to the South Magnetewan River. There is a really nice camping area on the north side of the South Magnetewan River, if the water is low the crossing is easy … but again I STRESS …. SCOPE IT OUT FIRST !! When the water level is up it can make 35" tires dissappear and the current can be strong enough to carry a TJ off course.
I have heard of people going North of the South Magnetewan River to the North Magnetewan River but it is really overgrown and nasty …. not recommended whatsoever for anyone with no experience going up there.
Honestly speaking …. I would not recommend going north of the Train tracks really.
