All volunteers should have received the below email, please let me know if you did not receive it.

Hello Everyone

Thanks again for volunteering your time to assist with the burn trail maintenance cut back project.

The Bobcaygeon fair grounds camping has been confirmed for $25.00 a night per tent, I will be collecting the money to pay the owner when we are all there so no need to reserve or pre-pay.  Kim and I will be heading up Friday afternoon and expect to be there around 3 to 4 pm.  See attached map for the location of the fair grounds and where the area is for camping.

Saturday June 30th – Meeting at the Bocaygeon Tim Hortons for 08:45, meet in the graveled area to the north side of the parking lot.  Tail gate safety meeting will occur 09:00am sharp.  All volunteers please read and acquaint yourselves with the attached documents and the link provided to the trailer information and operation.  https://www.of4wd.com/trailerlaunch.asp At the bottom of the page click on trailer information and log into to view all details and operational instructions.

2 or 3 chainsaw operators and 2 chipper operators will be chosen and given additional information and safety tips by out safety coordinator.    All other volunteers will have a safety brief and given all info on how the day is planned to go.

Personal equipment, during the trail maintenance work all persons shall have closed toe footwear (Boots), safety glasses and gloves.  Chain saw and chipper operators are to have hearing protection.  If anyone has their own equipment please bring it with you.  The OF4WD trailer does have some safety gear but we are limited.  Water and snacks will be provided by the OF4WD during the day.

Due to the larger number of volunteers the groups maybe separated to conduct other work in the area.  Rob Rea has some trail investigation work to conduct for additions to the new trail index, if you are interested in helping with that as well we will ask the morning off for volunteers.

All other info on the days events will be delivered the morning off.

Saturday Night, join us at the fair grounds for fire works display and a bon fire put on by the county.  During the day families who are not coming out on the trail can attend the Canada Day celebrations in Bobcaygeon, please click here for full details. http://canadadaybobcaygeon.com/schedule-of-events

Sunday – Meeting at fair grounds for 08:55 or Tim Hortons for 09:15, trail rides depart from Tim Hortons at approx. 09:30.  Trails and guides will be decided upon the day of.

Thanks again for all your support in this project, with out dedicated members such as yourself a sustainable trail system would not be possible.  Your elected board thanks each and everyone of you.
