If memory serves the first year I attended trailfest there were several buggies there. Hilarity ensued and one caught fire on the trail (I didn't witness any of this first hand and/or could be misremembering) I suspect after that is when this rule came in as the owner wanted to eliminate the buggies and they tend to be the guys wheeling trucks with tires over 40". Most full size trucks like yours stay out of the tight twisty trails. I think your wheelbase will give you issues on most of those trails to. There are several trails I've been on where getting a 4 Dr jeep around the corners required a 3 or 5 point turn… Some times more. Unfortunately I suspect you would suffer damage there even where your tires allowed.
