    Hi everyone,

We've come to that time of year again where we're contemplating putting away our trucks for the winter and making plans of all the mods we want to do. While some of us are also preparing for our winter hobby of sledding or snowmobiling. For those of you who don't know October is breast cancer awareness month. So I figured that I should get this post out there now it hopes of raising more money for this great charity. For those of you who don't know what the Kelly Shires Foundation does please visit their website at http://www.kellyshiresfoundation.org. In short they help women who are battling breast cancer with some of the expenses not covered by our provoncial health insurance or private insurance. They also give back approximately 95% of what they raise. Not like some of the bigger charities that we hear of who only give back 5-10% of the money they bring in. Kelly Shires started the Snow Run in 2000 and in 2004 she lost her 8 year battle with the disease. Her goal however was simple: women helping women.

In February 2014, my wife Angie and I spent the weekend up in Huntsville at Hidden Valley Resort attending the 15th annual event. Although this is a women's only ride there are a few men around for the weekend helping out to keep things running smoothly while the ladies are enjoying their activities. It was quite humbling to see this group of people come together and raise the amout of money that they did in just one weekend. They also have some great corporate sponsors that give directly to the foundation.

If you'd like more information on the event you can go to http://www.breastcancersnowrun.org.

And if I could ask a favor of all of you to show how supportive the jeep community can be please  help Angie reach her fundraising goal of $4,000 for the foundation, it would be absolutely incredible, she will be snowmobiling in the women's only event on the first week of February. Every little bit helps and no amount is to small.

    Thanks for your support
