Now that Wheeling season is right around the corner… Would members whom are close to trail index trails please put in a trail report to help update status's of known trail systems. This should aid a successful 2013 trail start up as everything comes back online for the season…
Thanks in advance for saving some of us a multiple hundreds of km drive to a closed trail… : )

I am wondering with all of the states of emergencies in our northern communities, how has this impacted any or all trail runs for our traditional season start up???

I would imagine it is going to delay us a bit. There was a picture of a house on bobcaygeon road in Minden with 6 inches of water surrounding it in the globe today. Even a trail like "Scotchline" aka Minden hydro line which has solid bottoms to its water holes is going to be treacherous right now. I would imagine the Creek crossing right after the out house and the long crossing in the marsh would be pushing the limits of a stock is jeep.
If someone lives up towards Minden it would definitely be great if they could walk a little bit of the trails off of bass lake.
If the weather let's up a few of us from the koolkats are going to check on the Bobcaygeon trails to check on some things for the ATV groups the first weekend of May. If the forecast holds and it continues to rain we will postpone even that run as water levels that far south are going to be high as well.

As of April 22 there is still a water safety warning… hope it clears up!
Also hope the trail system gets a green status!Water Safety indicates that high flows, melting ice or other factors could be dangerous for such users as boaters, anglers and swimmers but flooding is not expected.

And, as a reminder… we travel to these communities for our pleasure.
Many people in areas may be going through devastation with the loss of their homes and livelihoods
(my thoughts go out to those impacted as I type this). This will be a life changing event for those affected.

the weekend of may 4th 2 different groups from SONTT will be hitting the trails. one to arbeg and the other to crag lake, ill be sure to send a detailed report on the conditions of ardbeg, i believe 2 members participating in the crag lake run are members of of4wd so they will send in some reports as well.

Let's keep this active, does anyone have any information about what's drying up out there?
Is anything looking to be open for this weekend?
