In the spirit of giving back to the communities we play in, the OF4WD has taken on a road as part of the Adopt-A-Road program in the Peterborough County. The road we have adopted is a part of Hwy 507 just outside Bobcaygeon. As the adopter of this road we are responsible to arrange annual clean-ups.

This year's clean-up is being organized by two 4lo offroad club members Mark & Elana Bachman. They are looking for volunteers to help with our spring clean up on Sunday, June 2nd. The cleanup will cover both sides of Hwy 507 for 3kms heading North from the intersection with Hwy 36 (also known as Flynn's Corner).

The group will be meeting at Flynn's Gas Station for 9am and heading out by 9:30am.  Rubber gloves, safety vests and garbage/recycle bags will be provided for everyone. A trailer will also be provided to put garbage in so don't worry about dirtying up the inside of your rig.  A BBQ lunch of burgers, dogs and pop will be provided compliments of OF4WD. Just bring your work clothes, bugspray and your appetite.

If any volunteers are students who require volunteer hours, as letters of participation can be provided. Hope to see you all there.

This event will be going rain or shine so grab your rain coats and come on out. Bring a camp chair for lunch if you want. We will have some shelters. Hope to see you there.

A big thank you to all those members who made it out to the cleanup. It turned out to be a great day for it, despite the 4 minutes of rain we had to suffer through.

In total we removed almost 25 bags of garbage and recyclables!  We got a bunch of honks and a few people even stopped to thank us for what we were doing. Phill (from Flynns Gas Station) also really appreciated the job we did.

Good job guys!  Way to give back a little to a community we all use without thinking too much about it. Our work was appreciated!!!
