Anyone in for a day-trip this Sunday?

Hey guys,

I have a friend that just got a new 2012 Rubi and he's dying to get out. He lives in Innisfil and wants to get going on the season, and given the weather I don't blame him.

Would anyone be so kind as to recommend some trails within an hour or maybe two from Barrie? I know asking for trailhead directions/coordinates is a faux pas (but I will gladly take them if anyone wants to PM some over), or a few guys to meet up to go for a run would really make this guy's day.

Working nights or else I would head out with ya.

The trail index will be up soon which will get rid of this whole problem of not knowing where to go.

I am in Barrie and have pretty much a stock 2008 Sahara unlimited JK. I would be wiling to go explore some trails around with you but I too am waiting for the trail index so I can find some more interesting places.This weekend is out though as I have conflicting hobbies. I will be out on the boat unless the wind gets bad or it starts to rain.. then the jeep comes out to get dirty!

Toying with the idea of running Scotch Line in Minden on Sat if you want. It's a great learning trail with some nice climbs to the sides, lets you learn at your own pace.

LugNutz just as an FYI the water levels on Scotch line were way down when I ran it last weekend. The long straight water crossing was only up to the center of my axle and you can now see all the rocks on the bottom. We cleaned up a couple tree's that had fallen towards the trail, but there are a few that could use some work on the last 1/4 of the trail if you get out that far.

I might be out there again on Sunday depending on how some build ups work out on Friday.
