    Just discovered the backroad map books and was wondering if they're any good? Thanks for the feed back.

    Reference is the key word, for completely legal and represented trails use the trail index map

    I've referred to them frequently.  there are different versions around and the older ones are more detailed in that the images are larger.  New trails may not be updated and other changes. 

    Another great resource is topos canada.  I have the app for my iPhone and it really works great.
