    Greetings all,

Just a brief intro for now. I am down here in the US, just moved the Washington State on the west coast to the Buffalo, NY area just south of Toronto. I'm looking into venturing forth into Canada for some Overland camping/wheeling trips. After several searches and forums I was strongly advised to join OF4WD, so here I am.

I am a strong advocate of Tread Lightly and leaving no trace. My rig is currently a 2012 Jeep Wrangler JK 4-Door modified for light to medium rock crawling. However, I've been shifting focus towards more of an Overland setup for the long distance vehicle-dependent camping that I love.

If anyone has any good information on camping/wheeling locations or would like to link up, let me know! In the meantime, below are some shots of my rig:

    Thanks guys!

Welcome to OF4WD. If your focus is more overlanding, I can recommend lots of spots north of Highway 17. Temagami (first area that comes to mind) is a beautiful place to explore with lots of logging roads and forest trails to check out.Drop me a note if you are interested.

I'd love to explore that area when I get the time. I do a little bit of the extreme but my idea of a perfect trail takes 2 to 3 days to complete, mostly light to medium difficulty, dotted with a few real technical challenges. However, we can't always get the perfect trail, lol.

Since I just moved here I am still new at my job and don't want to rush out on vacation right away. But when I get the chance, a week to go overlanding up north would be great!

Do you have any recommendations for a shorter weekend trip? I'd love a decent length trail with places to camp in the woods. Myself and maybe one or two other rigs will be looking for something distance-wise from buffalo similar to Lingham Lake. Though others have told me Lingham Lake wouldn't make a good weekend trip and had no where to camp.

I am looking into Camp NL for sure as long as it isn't sold out!
