CB Radio Install

I have been working the past 2 weekends getting all the parts together, and have finally installed my new CB radio. Cobra 19 DX IV…
I am checking out the forums online for directions to install the unit, and things went smooth. Now I have to figure out how to “tune” my antenna..

Does anyone have experience with this? I am tired of reading articles that I don’t quite understand, any help with my tuning needs would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Nathan,
I would like to help but I am definitely better with hands on. So, I’ll say this:
It really is not difficult to do well. Trust yourself, take yer time. There are many good write ups on the net. Find one and follow it. Good workmanship is important for a good functioning setup.
If you have very specific questions post them and it will be easier to get those answered.

I’m now in search of an swr meter.. Anybody have one they can loan or rent me so I can tune my antenna.
I live in Orangeville, work in Mississauga…
