I wanted to register and attend Trail Fest, but I looked at the pictures and I saw nothing but Jeeps.  I know it's open to all makes, but is it generally a Jeep event?  I have a Dodge Ram and have some mods on the way to make it more suited for off-roading, but would I be out of place in my Ram?  I'm not looking to do anything crazy, just have a bit of fun on some of the trails and meet some new people.

So are there a lot of trucks there or is it basically all jeeps?

The majority of the vehicles are jeeps. But we have had some yotas, a few hummers (H1, H2 and H3) FJ 40, exterras, and a yukon.

What mods does your truck have? As long as it meets the vehicle requirements you would have no issue attending. Just remmber that with the larger truck there is more of a chance for body damage.

It's slightly lifted with 35" Nitto Trail Grapplers.  I'm also having skid plates installed next week.  It has everything else that's required.

So would I possibly be the only full sized truck there?

I'll let Raymond answer with regards to Trailfest as he knows the trails much better then I.  I know for a fact that two weeks later the Camp NL event has trails for a full sized and you'll be just fine.  hit up TF and then come out again for NL if possible……..Sleep, Eat, Wheel

I agree with Brian. Eat, Sleep, Wheel.

You may be the only full size pick up. But we have had lone hummers before.

You won't have a problem with most of the trails.

The only only requirements for your truck would be having a transfer case with 4 low range and tow hooks front and rear.

It's a great event. There is currently only 4 spots left for registration.

And Brian is correct….come to Trailfest then come out to Camp NL 2 weeks later.

I have 4 low, as well as front and rear tow hooks, that's not an issue.  The truck is lifted 2" for now and although I plan on getting a 6" lift, I don't think I'll have that done by the time TF rolls around.

Never heard of Camp NL until just now.  Maybe I'll look into going to that as well.  Is it basically the same thing just with different trails?  All Jeeps again?  Nothing against Jeeps of course, but it would be nice to go through some trails with some other trucks.

Maybe I'll try to make both.  I would like to put the new tires to work.

TF is held on private land trails which are pretty sweet, Camp NL is help on public lands.  Both events are guided runs.  Both events have a variety of vehicles however jeeps are the most common out there.  Just the way it is I guess, I've wheeled with everyone, Xtera's, Full Size Trucks, H1's, Toyota's.  They all have their strengths and weaknesses.

We are headed up to do trail maintenance on the Trailfest trails next weekend. We are also cutting a brand new trail. Be one of the first to ride on this trail at the event.

You will have a great time at both events. Just with a full size truck don't pick any trails with "narrow" in the description and you will do just fine.
