So I thought may be it is time for some new tunes in my rig, control the ipod from the deck and get rid of the fm modulator set up.

Step one: make impulse purchase of a head unit with out doing any research from a dude I dont know from the internet.

Step two: drive down to the city in the dark to pick up the deck (sorry no pictures, but I did get lost)

Step three: realize that I need to buy a harness and a dash adapter and antenna adapter to fit it in the  jeep.

Step three A: buy these part local so that the shop can help you out with the parts that are missing on your internet sourced stereo.

Step four: pry off the top dash panel then take out two screws at the top of the center portion of the dash and then pull out the center section, remove 4 screws holding radio in then pull out the old radio

Step five:  add crimp connectors to the stereo harness

Put the dash kit into the dash

Next crimp on the adapter harness, and shove the new stereo in where the old one was.

I installed a Bluetooth head unit in the LJ.  No cables needed.  Automatically connects to my phone and plays the music.  Hands free calling too!!

Did the same thing but still use cables as it saves battery on my phone. Nice job Tiki
