I don't have a partner yet so I'm hoping that someone has the day off on Friday, June 22nd and is willing to show a new guy the ropes. Looking for the Barrie/Penetang neck of the woods, or close by for during the day.

Something in the 2 range in the trail index would be good for some newer drivers to get a little seat time – there are plenty of places within 1.5 hr from Barrie. Check it out from the OF4WD main page.

Yeah I've been all over the site…very helpful I must say! I figured as much about the trail ratings. I am not a complete novice but still need to get reacquainted.  🙂

Check out the Gibson River Trail in the Trail Index, less than an hour from Barrie.

Thanks Rob. That one is one I've had my eye on…this time of year is should be fine for my ride. I've got a stock 2006 TJ with 31" and some other small mods so as long as it is dry… 🙂

Hustler ran it a couple weeks ago with a buddy that was new and stock, so you should be good. As always things can change tho so be careful and don't go alone. It is a nice run, with some good spots to stop for lunch.

hey tony just wondering how you made out on June 22nd?
I am on days off Wed, Thu and Friday…. I am a newbie aswell just joined yesterday and own a sport wrangler with 33' tires with Maple as the hometown…..

Hi Robert,
We did end up going out to Gibson River Trail in Minden…had a riot. We will have to connect the next time around. I don't often get the week days off, this one was a rare day off but will keep you in mind for the next ride.
