Oct, 2015 Newbie Run.

I have signed up for the Newbie Run next month. I was just curious if anyone sees this trip being too challenging for a Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. I don’t want to drive all the way there ( 3 hours or more) only to find out my TH can’t play with the big boys. I’d be surprised from what I have read and seen on Youtube and whatnot so far, the TH is pretty trail capable. It should certainly handle level 1 -3 or 4 I would think.

You will be fine with the TH, the newbie runs are specifically for people like you.

You can certainly do a level 1 or 2 trail, however I suspect you will want a fair bit of experience under your belt before taking your nice new truck on a level 3 trail. A level 4 trail ramps things up quite a bit and will be hugely dependant on driver skill and experience more so then the rig.

You will have a great time on the newbie run though. It’s cool to see a TH acctualy on the trail.

Thanks for the feedback. That is pretty much what I was thinking. I know my experience level right now is far behind what my TH is capable of. I am looking forward to the newbie run to learn some basics.

I am going to be heading to Ganaraska Forest on the Saturday and ride in there for the day, and then make my way to Bobcaygeon and stay over night in an inn somewhere.

I did Ganaraska Forest yesterday and absolutely loved it! If anyone cares to join me there on Saturday, that would be most welcome.
