This is what happens when the jeep slips off the bank into the swamp.  The mud was like jello, full of water. The more it moved the more water came to the surface sucking the jeep down.  We could walk on the mud but if we stood in one place too long we would start to sink.  A bit of shovelling to release some of the suction and a pull from a winch made quick work of the situation.  It could have been worse if it was any wetter.  No damage done, just some scuffs on the wheels.
