TWO SCOOPS FATHER’S DAY SUNDAE RUN!
This run is perfect for all father’s and grandfather’s, whether you’re the driver or passenger. If your father or grandfather has never been off roading, this is the perfect run to show him how real boys play in the woods and what it’s all about. Dad’s bring the children (no age limit, LOL), bring a friend who is a dad, a friends father or sneak out and get away for the day by yourself. This run is open to everyone. Be sure to confirm your attendance as there are limited spots available!
YOUR HOSTS: Hapla and Keeta
TRAIL: Picard, with our final stop at Kawartha Dairy, Bobcaygeon for ice cream
WHERE to MEET: Tim Hortons on East Street, Bobcaygeon
TIME & DAY to MEET: Sunday June 19th at 9:15 am, leaving for the trails at 9:30 am
CONVOY INFO: If you would like to convoy up to Bobcaygeon, please meet at Johnny’s Original Eatery, 850 King Street West, Oshawa, leaving at 8 am. Please comment below if you are able to come for breakfast with number of passengers as I need to confirm numbers for our reservation. A huge thanks to Johnny’s for opening a bit earlier to accomodate us jeepers!!
TRAIL REQUIREMENTS: Front & rear tow points, 4WD, 33’s (strongly recommended)
TRAIL INFO: Mostly hard packed, rock and crusher. Has potential for a few deep mud holes. Water levels may be higher than normal which, is dependent on rainfall amounts. Black flies and mosquitoes are thick this time of year so please come prepared with bug sprays, long sleeves, etc. We will enjoy lunch at the beautiful Picard Lake where you can enjoy a little play time, wildlife and dip your feet into the crystal clear water. Rick will also be BBQ’ing up his doggie dogs for anyone who would like hot dogs.WHAT to BRING: A willingness to enjoy nature, have fun and get dirty. A light lunch, snacks, drinks and bug repellent. Please dress for the weather and the bugs!
★Please make sure you have a FULL TANK OF GAS BEFORE arriving at Timmies★

MemberHi Giulio!
Any vehicle can join as long as you have pull points, 4WD and 33 tires (strongly recommended) however, the trail has been done with smaller tires. We have enough experienced drivers that you’ll be just fine.
You can meet us at Timmies in Bobcaygeon. Look forward to meeting you Giulio. It will be a really fun day! 🙂 Just let me know if you’d like to confirm a spot on the run.June 14, 2016 at 8:54 am #7257Tara Faller

MemberHi Tara, we look forward to meeting you! Hubby texted me this morning about your inquiry. Your fb pm showed up this morning as well along with another’s message. I don’t know why both new conversations didn’t show until today. I answered the one, closed the app to answer a call and went back to answer you and I can’t get it to show your message to me so I could answer.
I’ll answer here. Picard is only a lvl 2.5-3 trail and Hap has done with 29’s AT’s. The 33’s are recommended as there are a couple mud holes that can become deep depending on water levels. You will be fine with 31’s Tara.
See you Sunday!June 16, 2016 at 5:56 pm #7287Nathan Hathaway

MemberNathan, pets are very welcomed to trail runs, in fact encouraged! Many people bring their dogs and the dogs LOVE it! We do ask that pets be child friendly, if they will be off leash at any time, as many of our runs have children present.

MemberI saw your question on another post and saw it wasn’t answered online but may have been offline though and wanted you to know that you can indeed bring your pets. Picard Lake is really beautiful. Its a real shame the MNR disabled the camp site there though. 🙁

MemberDarlene,
My dog has planned a play date for Sunday, and won’t be coming with me to Bobcaygeon.
I am also lacking a co-pilot, so if anyone is interested in riding shotgun in my jeep let me know!
Nathan
