Grafton Canada Day Parade
On an overcast and dreary Sunday morning, a small group of 4-Lo Offroad Club members and their friends gathered together at a Tim Hortons in Cobourg, ON.
Where were they headed to? Greens Mountain, Hoggsback, The Quinn Trail ?
Nope, they had gathered together to join in and support the Canada Day Parade in Grafton, ON. All told, 6 trucks came out and made their way from St. Andrews Dr, down Old Danforth Rd. and along Hwy 2 to the Haldimand Memorial Arena. Outside, there were free drinks and hotdogs (donated) for all the spectators and participants. Inside the arena were a large number of vendors, all organized by the local Community Sports and Events Committee. The crowd turnout was a bit lower than previous years (not surprising considering the damp weather…) but those that were there watching cheered on the floats and the 4×4’s alike. Down the street the trucks rolled, making good use of transfer case doublers and/or 2wd low, all proudly sporting their red and white decorations and blowing their horns. A good time was had by all and the feedback from the event organizers was that the “Jeeps” were a hit and were welcome back next year if they could make it!
Thanks to those who came out to support and Happy Canada Day to everyone!!!
