When using the ON4Maps app, you can control the base map (your background) by turning on and off layers.
Use the layers button 
in the lower right corner of the ON4Maps app to turn on and off the satellite view, precipitation, and trail markers:
The blue blocks indicate falling precipitation. Looks like when we took this screenshot, Toronto was getting just a bit of rain …
We have a new trail numbering system: if you toggle trail markers you will see shields on the map starting with the (W)est, (C)entral, (E)ast or (V)muts trail number.
When you don’t have a mobile device handy you can use the Trail Index or the ON4Maps web map
